At Craft Fairs
Craft fairs are a marvelous place to meet and greet crafters and grafters. I started attending and setting up my craft table about five years ago. It became apparent that a table was not an appropriate display arrangement for my creations. A unique flat-packed display stand was designed and over the years developed. My criteria for the design were it had to be cost-effective, up-cycled, easily collapsible, have good display capabilities, and be nice to look at. The rotary display stand shown is the result of a 4-year ongoing project. It is made entirely from pallets and a disused wardrobe, so achieving the first two objectives, with a total cost of £18, which consisted of sky blue and white paint, hinges, and screws.

Further development in the last two years has been the introduction of the iPad frame, allowing me to play short film clips showing the process each creation has undergone in my workshop. It inspires visitors to the craft fair to engage in conversation with me or give me tips on achieving a more efficient result. Positive criticism is always welcome.

The most critical ingredient to this project has been the loving participation of family, friends, and pets.
